Our Founder
Mujtaba Shahzad
A young leader passionate about mental health advocacy, research, and education for adolescents.
Mujtaba Shahzad is a high school junior from Las Vegas, Nevada, who believes that mental health awareness is vital for supporting the teens in our community, who are our future. Through leading BrainSoul, Mujtaba has had the opportunity to work with multiple teens, groups, and organizations in the local community and beyond to provide support for mental health and offer services. His efforts have created the speech program, where Mujtaba goes to different places and organizations to provide speeches; the care package program; support circles for the community; and more. Mujtaba worked with legislators to pass Teen Mental Health Awareness Day on October 15th, which seeks to raise awareness about teen mental health and bring importance to the issue of mental health issues across the globe as a result of increasing stressors. Mujtaba is passionate about helping out the community and hopes to always be an advocate for mental health because he knows that mental health cannot be dealt with alone and in silence.
